2022 Rothbury Traditional Music Festival Dates: 15th-17th July

We are pleased to announce an exciting line up of artists for July 15th – 17th 2022 festival!

Four decades of fun compressed into three days of July 15th -17th. Yes, The Rothbury Traditional Music Festival returns in full form. A stellar line up includes The Damien Mullane trio, Eryn Rae & Scott Turnbull, Cameron Nixon, Ken Wilson, Andy May plus a  not to be missed performance by Johnny Handle & Chris Hendry. Did somebody mention bagpipes? Of course we will be graced by plentiful marching and piping from Rothbury Highland Pipe Band.

Festivities commence with the time honoured Friday night Ceilidh – music by 422 – to kick things off with a swing.

Families, fun and Folk are at the heart of our festival. Competitions, especially those for young and aspiring performers, will see their efforts rewarded plus the opportunity to rub shoulders and receive tips from professional musicians.

Besides the staged concerts visitors can expect music in abundance, a warm Northumbrian welcome (weather excepted!) and enjoy impromptu performances in the pubs, inns and the grounds of the town centre throughout the weekend.

More information about the performers, venues and events will be announced over the coming days  and weeks. Put the dates in your diary now.
