Since the publishing of the Government’s Road Map for restrictions, we have started making tentative plans for a smaller festival in 2021, principally a free outdoor stage with some wonderful visiting performers and some local favourites too.

Whilst there is always a chance that the ‘road map’ might progress more slowly than planned, we’ll be ready to put on the stage, following all govt guidelines for safety.

If the pubs are open we would expect that some ad hoc jam sessions will happen too – although these are not officially organised festival events they are a vital part of the festival too.

Keep your fingers crossed and keep Saturday 10th July reserved in your diaries for a brilliant musical day in Rothbury!

The Rothbury Traditional Music Festival Committee.

Rothbury Traditional Music Festival is a small, friendly, community-run festival set in the heart of Northumberland, in the beautiful Coquet Valley.  Over the last four decades it has established a unique atmosphere, drawing musicians, dancers and singers from throughout the country and beyond to spend a weekend sharing music and experiencing Northumbrian traditions.
